I'd be surprised if any significant number of American voters have the slightest idea what Katie and Jesse think on any topic, much less are swayed to vote in any way because of that.
I was in Columbus recently; the restaurant scene is better than you might expect and there are some nice green spaces in and nearby the city. I don't think it's the greatest city ever, but it probably is a bit better than most people expect.
I don't think it that complicated to conclude that "if saying reasonable and correct things is bad for your political movement, maybe the political movement is the problem".
Trump is a bad guy, but I have never bought the argument that he is so bad that it is necessary to lie about things to keep him out of power, nor any other version of that argument.
