Well that Stephen Fry conversation was just wonderful and worth the cost of the annual subscription alone. Stephen is so right - life is far too short and precious to waste any of it worrying about cretins like Trump and Musk. Sam Harris coincidentally said the same thing on his recent podcast - the opportunity cost (10 years and counting) of Donald Trump has been extremely bad luck for the world.
As a straight man I really find it hard to understand what it is like to love a man. My idea of love is so tied up to the otherness of your love object like the skin texture, the shape, the sometimes understandable behavior and the outlook on the world, that I cannot imagine myself having the same kind of pull to ‘the same’ rather than ‘the other’. I could easily imagine myself having sex with another man, but the love is what baffles me. And to be clear, I’m not like a Joe Rogan fan that stumbled onto your podcast and now I’m just scared as a person would do with Dave Rubin and whatever crowd he’s trying to please at the time, I mean it more from a philosophical point of view. Like how people inhabiting the same planet can be completely different from each other.
Thanks for bringing a bit of Stephen Fry into our lives Josh. He has wonderful insight to share on the world. I loved his story of understanding change through the story of all the different generations of people that passed through Cambridge University.
Josh, this is unrelated to this specific episode but I’m confused about my paid podcast subscription. You seem to post everything for free on YouTube these days. Are you wanting us to go there instead of the podcast, or are you changing your funding model or what? As a subscriber who in general believes in paying for quality media I don’t need my ego massaged, but how about an update before a show sometime? Or am I missing something obvious.

Oh what a PERFECT person to interview at this precise time. Thank you Josh. Utterly wonderful and needed
Loved this.
Great interview Josh. Brought tears to my dry eyes.

Those letters! What incredible insights at both ages!
How fabulous, interesting and fascinating Stephen is. A joy to listen to and as Sophia said a wonderful human being. More like this please Josh
Thanks for getting Stephen on the show. One of my favourite people on Earth.
How wonderful, what a truly great human being. Love to hear Fry talk more to the “Left wing cultural Imperialism that is filtered into university’s”
