Big fun hanging last night everybody. Bring on the feedback: did we like the format? More specific questions next time? More personal stuff? Or stick to current events / topical stuff? We can make this whatever we want; this will be a great chance for our community to generate interesting conversations and engage with Josh directly, so let’s make it worthwhile. Open to any and all suggestions!!
thanks for answering my question. I think the latter part of your answer was informative and appreciate the response.
Starmer, Albanese, Trudeau, these are in the centre, but they are pretty much just maintenance workers or functionaries. In an age of change where the structure of the world is changing, old ideas are falling away and new ideas are fighting to win to define the next 50-100 years, they stand out for a distinct lack of ideas. All they do is minor tweaks of the things that used to be liked and are now falling by the wayside.
We need new answers from the centre for the new world and there's no one doing that. The closest is maybe Macron, but he's French so just doesn't get coverage in english world. And while thats better, its still not good enough.
The centre needs to redefine itself, just like everything else is. You can't stay still in such a world of change.
Enjoy your thoughtful analysis, Josh. It's what the world is hungry for, I think.
Jen Gerson is the same. Informed and fun. It will be an awesome interview. She and Matt Gurney put out the fabulous CDN podcast 'On The Line' (gotta give them an extra plug them for your Aussie viewers and readers).

Finally listened to this... I have had enough of the "Trump is an idiot" comments, goodbye Josh, maybe I'll enjoy your humor at the 5th Column.
